FRIDAY, March 15

8:00 AM - Senate Committee on Finance and Assembly Committee on Ways and Means, Joint Subcommittee on General Government (Carson City) State Department Budget Hearings for (1) Administration, (2) Agriculture, and (3) Business and Industry

8:00 AM - Assembly Committee on Judiciary Meeting (Carson City/Las Vegas)

·         A.B. 7 - Authorizes the addition of a representative of academia who possesses knowledge of matters related to gaming to the Gaming Policy Committee; authorizes the Governor, as Chair of the Committee, to appoint a subcommittee on gaming education; specifies the duties of that subcommittee.

·         A.B. 203 - Provides that court-ordered visitation rights with children of certain relatives may only be ordered if the parent has denied or unreasonably restricted visits with the child, and expands provisions to include unmarried minor children of married parents.

8:00 AM - Senate Committee on Finance and Assembly Committee on Ways and Means, Joint Subcommittee on Human Services (Carson City) Budget Hearings for (1) Department of Health and Human Services and (2) Division of Child and Family Services

9:00 AM - Assembly Committee on Government Affairs (Carson City/Las Vegas)

·         A.B 196 - Requires the Attorney General to commence an action to protect and secure the rights of residents of this State under the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution at the direction of the Governor or if the Attorney General determines that those rights have been infringed by an executive order issued by the President of the United States.

9:00 AM  - Senate Committee on Judiciary (Carson City/Las Vegas) Informational Hearing on Gun Violence

1:00 PM -Assembly Commerce and Labor Committee Meeting (Carson City/Las Vegas)

·         A.B. 171 - Reduces the continuing education requirements for managers and assistant managers of manufactured home parks reduces the frequency of required continuing education from 6 hours each year to 6 hours every 2 years for those who have successfully completed annual requirements for 4 consecutive years and makes requirements applicable only to those working in manufactured home parks which have 10 or more lots.

·         S.B. 29 - Reduces the eligibility requirements for which the Administrator of the Manufactured Housing Division of the Department of Business and Industry may approve assistance from the Fund for Low-Income Owners of Manufactured Homes.

1:30 PM - Assembly Committee on Health and Human Services Meeting (Carson City/Las Vegas)

·         A.B. 144 - Prohibits a parent from revoking or amending an anatomical gift authorized by their unemancipated minor if the minor (donor) is at least 16 years of age and holds a valid driver’s license at the time of his or her death.

1:30 PM - Senate Committee on Government Affairs (Carson City/Las Vegas)

·         S.B. 174 - Creates the Citizen Commission on Veterans Memorials; authorizes the Governor to direct various state agencies to name various state buildings and other properties after those deceased members of the Armed Forces of the United States whose names are recommended by the Commission.
