Congratulations to Angie Sullivan, the Blue Nevadan of the week! Angie is an elementary teacher with the Clark County School District whose passion for education knows no bounds. You'll find Angie everywhere - progressive events, club and caucus meetings, labor rallies, legislative hearings, and of course, school board trustee meetings,  providing information about teacher/classroom conditions and the need for appropriate funding.

One of Angie's favorite sayings comes from  Chuck Palahnuik who says, "We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will.”  Angie and the work she does in our communities is a stellar example of that principle. Congratulations on being this week's Blue Nevadan, and thank you for all you do!

Congratulations to Annette Magnus, the Blue Nevadan of the week! She advocates for women’s reproductive rights, lobbies the Nevada Legislature and the White House, shows up with team en force to women’s events, mentors young women, serves as an educator to a variety of community based programs and helps organize Planned Parenthood’s community events. She’s smart as a tack and practically has the job done before you finish explaining what it is you want her to do. Annette’s exceptional skills allow her to easily transition between the roles of advocate, activist, educator, organizer and communicator with efficiency and aplomb. Annette is one of those superstars who works tirelessly to make Nevada and our surrounding communities a better place to be. Congratulations, and thank you for all you do!
